South Africa Music Tour

Mayhew spent 2 weeks in Cape Town, South Africa performing at various nightclubs such as Sgt Pepper, Shimmy Beach Club, and Café Caprice.

She was interviewed on leading pop radio station, Good Hope FM, and performed LIVE on national TV on hit pop culture show, “Afternoon Express.”

The tour couldn’t have gone better! She even got invited to an elite writing camp with some of Cape Town’s most successful musicians and producers… so stay tuned for new music!

Right before she left, she was able to catch up with two writers from South African newspapers: Atlantic Sun and The Cape Towner. She chatted with them about her involvement with CHOC, a charity that helps kids with cancer, and the benefit she took part in at Sgt Pepper on Loop St. with other local musicians. Mayhew sang song popular cover songs and originals, and collaborated with the other talented musicians to enthusiastic crowds.

So what’s next? Mayhew is jetting back to the West Coast to record new songs, but will definitely be visiting Cape Town again soon!
