Simple Ways To Save Time on Your Makeup
Hello Ladies,
Women all over the world (including myself :)) spend far too long stuck in front of a mirror every morning, trying to perfect their image. After all, it is drummed into us from an early age that makeup can enhance our looks, make us feel confident and ready to face the world. If you are used to wearing it every day, cutting out even one step on your application could leave you feeling vulnerable and half done, and no woman should ever feel that way.
If you are someone that chooses to wear makeup, think about just how long you spend doing it. It may well be a hobby which you enjoy doing, and that is fine – carry on, but if you are wearing it simply because you feel you need to, pause for a moment. Imagine what you could do with that time if you could reduce it by even a few minutes. You could make a start on that stack of books you’ve been wanting to read for ages. You could go see a museum, get a workout in, or organize that closet where your favorite shirt always seems to evade you. lol You can do a lot with that time.

Compromising on time does not mean you have to compromise on your look. I have come up with a few ideas to help you cut your makeup application time without feeling like you have gone out naked!
- Streamline your products
It is nice to have a choice, but do you really need 15 different mascaras and eight eyeshadow palettes? No, you don’t. Trust me. A good quality foundation or tinted moisturizer, nude lipstick and bold lipstick, and a both a warm and a cool toned eyeshadow palette and mascara is pretty much all you need. Anything else might be nice, but unnecessary!
- Find permanent solutions
So while definitely not for everyone, these days, there are plenty of permanent, or semi-permanent makeup solutions as well. If you color in your eyebrows every day, look at professional eyebrow tinting. You may also consider eyebrow microblading for a semi-permanent solution. If you spend ages applying fake eyelashes (and let’s face it, those things are the WORST!), or applying mascara, look at eyelash tinting or semi-permanent lashes. - Perfect a statement look
Instead of spending 45 minutes trying to perfect a natural look, why not learn to do something dramatic and bold that is your statement look? Learn to do a winged eyeliner, or deep red lips – something that becomes your signature. Once you have perfected it, it should only take you a few minutes!
- Work on your skin care
Many of us would drop half of the makeup we wear if we had good skin, so spend some time working on that. Drink plenty of water, eat the recommended daily amount of fruit and vegetables and make sure you are getting enough sleep each night. Doing these things are not only good for your skin, but good for your overall health as well, and you will see an improvement quite quickly, potentially giving you the chance to drop the makeup entirely! Woohoo!
