How to Get Ready for Vacation – 5 Easy Steps

I know we are all SMACK DAB in the middle of all this Corona Virus craziness, so maybe this IS the best time to get-out-of-dodge and go to that remote island you’ve always wanted to visit! – Far away from people. 🙂

If this sounds like a good idea, maybe you are wishing for some tricks to get into shape quickly. (Even if people aren’t around, you gotta do it for the gram, right?! :)) The goal is to feel more confident in your own skin and enjoy your getaway without feeling self-conscious. 

Of course, everyone is different. And one method might work better for some people over others. But the following top tips can prove to be invaluable. Here are some simple techniques:

Eat Healthy

This might seem obvious, but it can make all the difference to how you’re feeling. By cutting out unhealthy foods such as crisps and chocolate, you’ll wake up everyday feeling as though you have more energy and that you’re motivated to workout.

Take Up a New Sport

This could be hard right now considering the atmosphere and what we are facing with disease. That’s why I would recommend yoga. It’s self-contained, you can do it from the comfort of your own home, and it doesn’t require you to use props/weights/balls shared by other people. By working out you’ll start to feel more alert, happier, and will help all your stress melt away. 

Laser Hair Removal

Many people love to get waxed or to have threading done before they go away. However, another beauty treatment that’s rapidly growing in popularity is laser hair removal. A more permanent solution to those pesky hairs, it will ensure that your legs are feeling smooth and ready to wear all of those skirts and dresses that you’ve packed! Please just make sure this is safe in the current climate and that your location has taken ALL precautions to keep you healthy!

This beauty secret is bound to go down a treat. Every night before bed, make yourself a peppermint tea. (My fave!) This will help to aid digestion, boost metabolism and flush all of the toxins out of your body so you wake up feeling less bloated.

Cut Down on the Alcohol

This is great to do no matter what the time of year, but especially when you’re preparing to go away. By cutting down on alcohol, you’ll feel more awake, less bloated, have more energy and feel more motivated to take on whatever life throws at you. It will also help your immune system – which we all need right now! 🙂
