Getting Cozy for Autumn – It’s not too soon!

At this time of the year, we’re all trying to make the most of the summer. Because there’s not that much more left! (Ah!) But it’s nice to know that you can hold on to the last of the great weather – at least until Labor Day.

At the same time, it’s kind of nice to know that fall is just around the corner. You may find that you’re not ready for the cold to set in, but you can also find a great boost of confidence when getting ready for autumn to truly set in. You may also want to prepare your Gentleweight blankets as part of the preparation. How do I do that, Lauren? Well, think about all of the different ways you can get cozy in time for the fall, and yes – you can start now. 🙂

Update The Home

To start with, you need to make sure that you update your home for the fall. Maybe you want to bring in more fall colors like burnt oranges, browns, and reds? You can do this easily with cushions or artwork – or even painting the walls using acrylic paint like the ones at Archute. You may also want to update your outdoor such as your cedar decking, garden, patio and more. Can you say #ArtProject?!

Invest In The Best

Next up, you will want to start thinking about your fall wardrobe too. Here, you’ll find that you might want to invest in in a few items, rather than getting TOO much stuff. Maybe you want to look into cashmere or odor resistant bamboo socks to keep you cozy? Even a nice coat!

Bring In Cozy Accessories

Let’s bring in the best possible accessories – my PERSONAL FAVE – candles! Fall candles are great for this, but then also sheets and mattresses from Bamboodetective. All this can really make your home feel cozy. My latest discovery are wax melt warmers, the scent lasts longer than what I buy in the supermarket.

If you have a newborn in the house, make your little one feel extra cozy with the help of blankets, like those personalised baby blankets.
